Chairperson and pins

In a way it was inevitable, I ended up founding DigiPippi in 2015. As a self-taught girl geek, since 10 years of age have loved computers, but never got understanding or help it, I was in many ways the first DigiPippi girl.

after several, not particularly successful, attempt to find their way into the ICT sector, was my way as many other women. I had to create it.

My walked among others. through a lot of jobs in computer and mobile sales and ultimately a Rudolf Steiner pædagoguddannelse. When I subsequently chose to work in the municipal, as a way to use my nerd stuff and my educational training, I became aware of, that very little had changed from when I was 10 year. The boys were considered 'natural' technology users, while the girls backed out.

I continued to teach all the kids, but began while experimenting with sex- and tiered technology education. At the same time I taught teachers, educators and parents in, to understand and convey to modern children.

I 2015 I received development assistance of Reach for Change, and the Association DigiPippi was born. DigiPippi girl became DigiPippis mother.

Today I am a specialist in child and IT, with a 360 degree look at them and their world. In DigiPippi goes my time exclusively with girls and women, while I own company retains overall perspective in all in a technological world.

What is your education and what do you like / with today?
I am a MA. in communication with a BA in Humanistisk Informatics. I have always worked with communication and marketing. Mainly with web, social media and email marketing. A common thread in my work has been IT and tech companies as well as children. I have experience from both national and global business and as an entrepreneur. Both the specialist knowledge and to act quickly on a thought, are good qualities to have with in a society that DigiPippi.

What gives you the most energy to work with? Your greatest professional interest / force mm.?
Making a difference for girls and defeat preconceptions and lack of interest. To open girls' eyes to the opportunities and abilities, they did not know, that they had. To convey perhaps difficult to access substance (or immediately uninteresting fabric ...) in a way, so many will have the strength to read and see - and indeed Kindle!

What is your motivation to participate in DigiPippis Board?
I am very concerned, that girls get an insight into everything that they can! Both of abilities and opportunities. I salute diversity and is 100% convinced about, that products and services are best, when we unite male and female resources and perspectives. It is therefore important, IT and Technology, (which becomes a bigger and bigger part of our society) are introduced to both sexes. My motivation is to make DigiPippi the "beacon", as the girls can be inspired by. View a world of possibilities! Show that IT and tech is not only coding, but also creative and innovative processes.

What is your education and what do you like / with today?
I has a background in the fashion industry, but has since taken a BA in digital concept development and multimedia design. Today I work as a freelance Digital Designer for both small and large companies such as TV2, DR Byen, UX Copenhagen. My strengths are product and concept development, layout, UX and webdesign.

What gives you the most energy to work with? Your greatest professional interest / force mm.?
I love working with start-ups, like in the very beginning when the business model is defined and validated through like pretotyping and / or testing of prototypes. I thrive on project management and is a no-bullshit kind of person - I see opportunities, and above all solutions. It is important for me to go very systematic approach, when a problem to be solved. In addition, I believe, a company focused on diversity through sex, cultures and ages get the best results.

What is your motivation to participate in DigiPippis Board?
I dream of a world of possibilities, To change a mindset and create a natural balance with equal opportunities for women and men in IT industry. I would simply, that my daughter gets presented opportunities in particular. tech on an equal footing with peers boys. As Denmark is put together now, we are in a very stereotypical view placed in boxes in primary schools - boys in tech and girls in the more social studies subjects. It provides a bias later in tech operative units.

What is your education and what do you like / with today?
I am a qualified primary school teacher and has a Masters in Digital Design and Communication from ITU. I have worked for many years as IT teacher at a secondary education, and I am passionate about working with children and young people - especially if there are no digital cross.

What gives you the most energy to work with? Your greatest professional interest / force mm.?
I am passionate about IT and learning in all possible configurations. I want to help motivate children and young people to use technology to help them in their learning - and best of all it is, if the learning takes place through play. After all, fun to play! I am also extremely interested in getting children and their parents to meet to talk about the digital life, giving parents the courage to be part of their children's digital lives and realize, that although they do not always know the technology, as their children use, then apply the social and personal rules also digital as analogue. I would also really like to help all competent teachers around to become better at using their skills - even in the digital world.

What is your motivation to participate in DigiPippis Board?
I was raised to believe in, I have the same opportunities as my big brothers, and that it was subordinate, I was a girl, when it came to what I would do with my life. Therefore, I have always been interested in gender equality, and as I got older and discovered that the world out there is not always so girls and boys as equal participants in the various ballparks, so I was ready to fight to get other people's eyes to the world, I grew up in. Additionally, I have always been a geek girl, hanging out with the boys in high school because it was them, which also hung out in computer rooms at recess and bothered to talk about, who could dial quickly on the keyboard or whatever PHP programming actually went out on. Therefore hit DigiPippis mission and vision of me in the heart, and I just knew from the start, that it was a case, I would help to fight. And then I have some strange addiction to sit on boards, as I have done since I was a teenager.

And the interest I would like to encourage the best possible. Secondly, because I am in my career have enjoyed working with women, in my view, always brings a rewarding and more holistic approach to technology and technological development than men. And thirdly, because I am absolutely convinced, as a society we need more women in technology to ensure, we are moving in the right direction.

Christian Andersen

What is your education and what do you like / with today?
I have a bachelor degree in International Business from Copenhagen Business School. The first 10 years of my career I worked within finance and controlling, both as a business controller and as a finance manager. The last 15 years of my career has been within sales, business development, management and entrepreneurship. I have been starting and running my own business (Bridgeconsulting A/S), focused on Microsoft Business Intelligence, for 6 years. In that period (2006-2012) we managed to build the best Microsoft Business Intelligence partner in Denmark, and were 4 times awarded as partner of the year by Microsoft Denmark. In my current position I work as a director in Firebrand, where my main responsibility is to build a new consultancy business, specialized in recruiting and training new graduates and make them ready for a career within the IT business, and thereby solving the big current and future resourcing demand.

What gives you the most energy to work with? Your greatest professional interest / force mm.?
My main interest is business development and entrepreneurship, building new companies, business units, concepts etc. I get a kick out of building something from scratch and make it grow. A big part of that is of course developing and selling the right services and concepts. An area where I have been quite successful in my recent management positions.

What is your motivation to participate in DigiPippis Board?
The government has estimated that there will be a lack of 19.000 IT resources in 2030, unless we do something differently than today. In my current job I work with bridging graduates with the IT business, but in order to solve the future problem, we need to start working with the young people even earlier (already in the elementary school) and why not bring more girls in to the IT business? They are counting for more than 50% of the population and there is a big lack of woman in the IT business. Bringing more girls in to the IT business is my main motivation for being part of Digipippis advisory board. More girls/women in the IT business brings more diversity and a lot more ideas. And then I am also the proud father of 2 girls.

Mia Eton-McKinsey

What is your education and what do you like / with today?
I graduated in marketing and marketing on the basis of international economic cooperation. Subsequently, I have taken several courses in digitization. Both because it is necessary for my daily professional life, but also because it is a personal interest.

I work for an American advertising company as Vice President of Europe. Pr. december 2017 I switch to fire-side and starts in the position of marketing- and communications in the financial sector in Denmark.

What gives you the most energy to work with? Your greatest professional interest / force mm.?
My greatest professional strength is my ability in consulting, communication and motivation, I'm good at driving change and new processes. It is also from here I'll pick my own energy and desire to help other people to reach the finish with their own wishes and dreams, both professionally, strategic, tactically and at personal level.

What is your motivation to participate in DigiPippis Advisory Board?
My motivation to be in DigiPippis advisory board pops out of a desire for a more balanced gender distribution within tech- and IT in Denmark. 64% the Danish boards prioritize generally not digital skills and if equality continues at the pace it has now, we first equality in Denmark on 158 year. The development I would like to contribute to change and operate in a better speed than the current. If one or more girls can be motivated and helped, so I think it is my responsibility as an adult professional woman trying to encourage.
